Meet the staff

Tim –

I started the business in 1992. After my two boys were born I wanted more financial security for my family than the building business could offer and decided to have a go at making a living from my love of hunting and fishing. The shop has developed over the years into a real ‘aladdins cave’ of boys toys. 30 years on and I am still there and it has definitely turned out to be one of my best decisions.

Tim’s Role: If you have a query a question or a problem Tim likes to deal with these directly himself, please come in and see him! his main role in the business, aside from running the show, is being in his workshop. Tim undertakes all the work on rifles pistols and crossbows alike to keep you all shooting for longer! What he doesn’t know about air weapons is probably not worth knowing! During the firework period Tim is keen to make sure no one leaves the store without the best deal possible, you will know which one he is, the one running around with his feet on fire! No rest, even if he is the boss!

A comment From Tim:

“I love all sides of the business, I am really ‘living the dream’ surrounded by guns, fireworks and fishing tackle. We share stories and experiences between staff and customers and not very often does a day go by without having a really good laugh. We often have customers wives phoning up and even appearing in person to bring back their husbands as they have spent too long in the shop! Nobody has yet had their dinner delivered to the door but watch this space!”

Louise:

Louise, Tim’s right-hand woman is as passionate about the business at Tim.  She can often be found on the bank (in good weather!) fishing with Tim and their two sons, James and Tom and is also a driving force behind the firework side of the company.

Louise’s role: Louise can be found in the shop Thursday and Friday , she works mainly in the office behind the scenes keeping suppliers in check and sourcing new items for all the customers. when we are busy she will be downstairs serving with everyone else!

Sean

Sean manages the fishing room and brings with him 45 years of angling experience. Previously a bailiff on the MKAA waters he keeps in touch with what is catching and where and knows the local waters really well. He is always willing to share information and loves to chat about his sport.? Any questions welcome.
